Victoire Pisa wins Dubai World Cup
Japanese horse Victoire Pisa won the $10 million Dubai World Cup last Saturday ridden by Italian jockey Marco Demuro. The Dubai World Cup is the richest horse race in the world and took place at the Meydan race course. Members of the winning team paid homage to their country wearing shirts with the Japanese national flag and the word “Hope”.
Zenyatta bred to Darley stallion Bernardini
Zenyatta, who was chosen horse of the year in 2010, was bred to Bernardini this week, as informed by Dottie Ingordo Shirreffs, wife of Zenyatta’s trainer John Shirreffs. The personnel at Lane’s End Farm prepared Zenyatta for her first encounter with the Darley stallion.

Big Buck’s will run at the Cheltenham Festival
Trainer Paul Nicholls confirmed today that Big Buck’s will run in the Cheltenham Festival and will not take part in the Betfair Cleeve Hurdle. The champion colt will be part of the field at the Ladbrokes World Hurdle event. The decision to waiver the Betfair Cleeve Hurdle was because the trainer wants the horse to rest before trying to win for the third time in the Grade I Staying Hurdle Championship.
Tony McCoy to ride Master Minded
Noel Fehily will not be able to ride Master Minded at the Tingle Creek Chase at Cheltenham and he will be replaced by champion jockey Tony McCoy. The colt won the race under McCoy in 2008 and the jockey expects to repeat the victory.
Zipping becomes a legend

Instead, the trainer and owner decided to wait until she went back into work.
Zenyatta seeking an 18-0 streak
As she continues going through a winning streak, adding race after race, 6-year-old Zenyatta has also added an entertaining pre-race performance, for the delight of her followers: prancing in the saddling paddock and shaking a front leg in the post parade. “She's gotten to where she really knows she's a superstar,” jockey Mike Smith commented. “It's almost as if she tries to intimidate the competition when she dances in the paddock. She loves entertaining.”
