Such as most sports in the UK, horse racing have been devastated during the last days because of the weather and despite all the weather tracks there is very little hope about things getting better for the rest of the week.
Races at Kempton and Wolverhampton are still scheduled starting from Monday 11th January, but it is no sure race at Wolverhampton will be taking place.
At Newcastle, all horse races that were going to take place on Tuesday 12th January, have been called off but there is a little hope about races in Southwell and Lingfield taking place. However, there are doubts about the races in Leicester.
At Kelso and Doncaster, races that would have place on Wednesday 13th January, seem to be unlikely. At Southwell, Kempton and Lingfields races are expected with national hunt races featuring at Southwell.
Unless there is a rapid thaw, it is unlikely that horse races will take place at Towcester or Catterick because both of them are under considerable amounts of snow. Unfortunately, the same case applies to North Yorkshire Grand National Handicap Chase.
On Friday 15th January, all weather racing are expected at Lingfield, Southwell, Wolverhampton and Huntingdon. Wolverhampton features the Bet Masters Snooker Conditions Stakes.
For the weekend it is expected to the thaw to set in and there will be jump racing at Wetherby, Kempton and Warwick on Saturday 16th January which includes the group 2 Leamington Novices' Hurdle and the Pertemps Handicap Hurdle. The Lanzarote Hurdle will also be run at Kempton.
Many fans of this fantastichorses sport are quite discouraged because of all the call offs, but on the weekend things seem to look a little brighter, so get your binoculars and get ready to cheer your favorite horse.
