“Providing the ground is suitable Voy Por Ustedes will go there, that's been his intended race. In fact all three are very likely to run,” Barry Simpson, Ogden’s racing manager, commented.
Certainly, the Old Roan Chase at Aintree will be a great occasion for those who enjoy horse racing, since it could be the comeback of three track favorites: Voy Por Ustedes, Exotic Dancer and Ungaro. The Sir Robert Ogden trio has different trainers and already is among the 22 contestants for the Mildmay Course event.
“Providing the ground is suitable Voy Por Ustedes will go there, that's been his intended race. In fact all three are very likely to run,” Barry Simpson, Ogden’s racing manager, commented. “The trip is a bit short for Exotic, but it's a good starting point. The Betfair Chase is his objective, so this should be a good pipe-opener for him.”
On the other hand, trainer Nicky Richards has entered Monet’s Garden, who is back and fine after resting for some time. “Monet's Garden is fine after his outing, the old lad's in good nick and we're looking forward to getting him back on the track at Aintree - he's in good form with himself,” Richards said.
Howard Johnson has signed up with Tidal Bay, winner of the Arkle Trophy. Other possible contestants include Ashley Brook, Chelsea Harbour, Cloudy Lane and Moon Over Miami. The Old Roan Chase was won by Kauto Star in the past two editions and is the first event in the Order of Merit.
